1. ATLKF, empowering vulnerable children & families of our community

Founded in 2013, The Antoine Tsia Lip Ken (ATLK) Foundation aims to empower vulnerable children & families.

The ATLK Foundation works in close collaboration with Terre de Paix - La Fondation pour L’enfance.
Together, we strive to create the optimal conditions to empower families and help them care for their children.

Vision
A more compassionate society where every citizen is provided with the necessary conditions to develop his/her full potential.

Mission
To alleviate poverty in Mauritius by achieving the sustainable development goals such as zero hunger & no poverty, quality education, gender equality, good health & well-being, sustainable environment and global partnership.

ATLKF Foundation's major community projects

Early childhood services at the heart of our malls and community

Our childhood services centres comprise of:

  • ‘Les Mirabelles’ nurseries in Grand Bay, Flacq and Tamarin for children coming from vulnerable families and aged 3 months to 3 years old. Each nursery welcoming more than 30 children at once.
  • A preschool for children aged 3 to 5 years old in Grand Bay
  • Community visits
  • Prenatal care for underprivileged mothers
  • Sponsoring of preschool children
  • Educational support / ‘accompagnement scolaire’ for children aged 3 to 8 years old
  • Food security & income generating activities

2. Sunday Care with Abaim

The Sunday Care project enhances the integral development of children through creativity, music, traditional play-based activities, pedagogical & cultural outings

Sports, culture & access to markets for local entrepreneurs

Other activities of the foundation also include:

  • Street football once a week in two areas of Grand Bay
  • ‘Bouze ar liv’ which fosters the passion of reading in children from an early age
  • Boutique solider which gives local entrepreneurs the opportunity to sell their products


3. ‘Espace art et culture Sanedhip Bhimjee’ at Coeur de Ville Flacq

A community hall that embraces different cultures through language, art, music and sports such as:

  • Renewable energy use with the photovoltaic farm at Coeur de Ville Flacq
  • Sustainable building at Coeur de Ville Tamarin through energy efficient building materials and upcycling décor
  • Community embellishment through wall paintings
  • Community bins in Tamarin
  • Waste sorting bins in Coeur de Ville parkings to encourage recycling in collaboration with Mission Verte, Phoenix Earth and We-Recycle

We create meaningful relationships with other local NGOs, schools, partners and ministries. Together we support causes that benefit our society as a whole:

  • Blood donation campaigns in collaboration with the Blood Donors’ Association
  • National health campaigns in collaboration with the Ministry of Health and Wellness
  • Medical check-ups and other events with Rotary Clubs, Lions Club, and other NGOs
  • Women’s fairs with the National Women Entrepreneur Council
  • Sponsoring of school materials for the children of Cap Malheureux (Super U)
